"This is a blog site, not an official news site. It’s an honest & entertaining platform. I wanted reality. I wanted to have an outlet to go beyond stereotypes, focus on our youth, address unhealthy relationships, acknowledge everyday life-the joys & the pitfalls & get opinions from others who have the same issues. All post is based on opinions & thoughts & some things may already be reported in the media. I am not a typical journalist; I am a Blogger/Reality Host who created Real Issues as an outlet for reality, expression & opinions. This is an Unfiltered, Uncut, No Judgment Zone. REAL Look for Less:

Do It Yourself Accessories

Running a close 2nd to shoes, accessories can make or break an outfit. The wrong accessories will have you looking a hot mess and the right ones can take an outfit from drab to fab. Here are a couple of DIY accessories that are sure to spruce up any outfit and all for less than $10 each!  More on the ISSUE below.

1. Ribbon -N- Pearl Bracelet:

Ribbon: $5.99;  String of Pearls: $2.99
  1. Things You’ll Need: Ribbon, String of Pearls, Scissors and a Sewing Kit
  2. Cut the string of pearls and place all the pearls in a ziploc bag. This makes them easier to keep up with and to store for later projects.
  3. Make a fold about 1/3 of the way down the ribbon and thread the needle through the ribbon near the top of the fold and tie a knot to secure it in place.
  4. Slide a pearl on to the end of the needle.
  5. Repeat the fold from Step 3, thread needle through and slide on a pearl . *Try not create a fold so big that it leaves a gap underneath the pearl. The fabric should curve just under the pearl.* Repeat these steps until you have an area long enough to at least cover the top of your wrist.
  6. Once you place the final pearl, make one last fold, thread the needle through and secure it with a knot. Snip off any extra thread on either knot.
Final Product!

Tied in a bow underneath. Snip off extra ribbon if you want.
